How do I set my Options to "Early Exercise" or "Do Not Exercise"?

You may choose to ""Early Exercise"" your options position before expiry if it is In-the-Money via the Webull App.

1. Tap your Options position

2. Tap the 3 dots at the bottom right of your screen

3. Tap "Early Exercise"

4. Tap "Submit"

You may find a “DNE” button when placing Options orders or selecting your Options position. DNE stands for Do-Not-Exercise.

By enabling the "DNE" button, the Options contract will not be automatically exercised when it expires, whether In-the-Money, At-the-Money, or Out-the-Money. However, it may still be automatically liquidated on the day of expiration.

Options are complex financial products. As such, you must ensure you have read and understood our Standard Client Agreement, Target Market Determination, Product Disclosure Statement, and Characteristics and Risks of Standardised Options. For more information, please refer to Terms and Conditions
