Avantis Investors has launched a new global equities ETFs aimed at investors seeking broad market exposure with an active approach, as demand builds for diversification beyond U.S. stocks.

The Avantis Total Equity Markets ETF (NYSE:AVTM) began trading on Monday. The fund provides exposure to U.S. and non-U.S. developed and emerging market equities, positioning itself as a potential one-stop global allocation vehicle.

"It's always exciting to bring another solution to the market, especially when we know it is fulfilling a client need," said Phil McInnis, chief investment strategist at Avantis Investors.

"Everything we do at Avantis is with our clients in mind, and that mentality has contributed to the strong growth and adoption we've experienced over the last several years," he added.

Active Global Exposure Beyond Market-Cap Weighting

Unlike traditional market-cap weighted index funds, AVTM invests across market capitalizations while targeting companies with higher-than-expected returns. The strategy aims to deliver improved risk characteristics compared with passive global equity benchmarks. The ETF charges a net expense ratio of 22 basis points.

The launch comes as investor flows increasingly favor non-U.S. equity strategies amid valuation concerns and concentration risk in U.S. mega-cap stocks. While U.S. equities remain a core allocation, AVTM combines domestic exposure with developed and emerging market stocks in a single fund.

The ETF will be managed by a team led by Chief Investment Officer Eduardo Repetto, alongside senior portfolio managers Mitchell Firestein, Daniel Ong and Ted Randall, and portfolio manager Matthew Dubin.

AVTM joins Avantis' expanding ETF lineup under the American Century Investments umbrella. The firm now offers 45 strategies across the U.S. and international markets, including Australia and Europe, reflecting its rapid expansion in the active ETF space.
