Shares of STMicroelectronics NV (NYSE:STM) rose sharply in pre-market trading after the company expanded strategic engagement with Amazon Web Services to enable new high performance compute infrastructure for cloud and AI data centers.

STMicroelectronics shares jumped 4.3% to $31.13 in the pre-market trading session.
