Shares of Nuvalent, Inc (NASDAQ:NUVL) rose sharply in pre-market trading after GSK agreed to acquire the company in a deal valued at $10.6 billion (7.9 billion pounds).

GSK will pay $124 per share in cash, a 40% premium over Nuvalent's closing share price on Monday.

Nuvalent shares jumped 38.2% to $122.56 in pre-market trading.
