The patent will provide Enlivex with added intellectual property protection in Australia through at least 2040 with claims covering methods of using Allocetra™ to treat subjects with osteoarthritis. With this issuance, the Company has secured patent protection for Allocetra™ in osteoarthritis in an additional major jurisdiction, further strengthening its global intellectual property position as the Phase 2b clinical program for Allocetra™ advances.

Enlivex recently reported the dosing of the first patient at a U.S. clinical site in the Phase 2b clinical trial of Allocetra™ for the treatment of patients with moderate-to-severe age-related symptomatic primary knee osteoarthritis (OA). The Phase 2b follows Enlivex's previous announcement regarding positive three-month and six-month topline data from the Phase 2b stage of ENX-CL-05-001, a multi-center, two-stage Phase I/II double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial that evaluated Allocetra™ in patients with moderate-to-severe knee OA.
