12:02 AM EDT, 06/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Central Bank fined the Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, or BIL, nearly 3.3 million euros over violations of its guidelines on the calculation of expected loss. The European Union's central bank said Monday the violation resulted in an overstatement in the Luxembourg-based lender's capital for the fourth quarter of 2023 through the second quarter of 2024. The decision may be challenged by BIL before the EU's Court of Justice.
