French Annual Inflation Rate Confirmed at 1.8% in June

02:56 AM EDT, 07/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- As expected, France's annual inflation rate fell to 1.8% in June from 2.4% in May, final data from statistics agency Insee showed Friday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices were 0.3% lower, compared with the flash estimate of a 0.2% drop and the prior 0.1% rise. The annual harmonized inflation rate decreased to 2% from 2.8%, consistent with the preliminary reading. Month over month, harmonized consumer prices declined 0.3%, confirming the initial data, and against the previous 0.1% increase.
