06:10 AM EDT, 07/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's maintained Bayer's (BAYN.F) senior unsecured rating at Baa2 and revised the outlook to stable from negative in a July 10 report. The stable outlook underpins a "meaningful" decline in the German life science company's tail risk after the US Supreme Court's "positive" ruling on the weedkiller Roundup litigation during June. The rating agency also acknowledged greater visibility in Bayer's liquidity and legal funding after its 3 billion-euro minority equity transaction. At the same time, the rating affirmation is based on Bayer's debt reduction plans, "resilient" operations across pharmaceuticals and consumer health, and expectations for a steady rebound in crop science.
