06:21 AM EDT, 07/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Anglo American's (AAL.L, AGL.JO) De Beers Group unit plans to temporarily suspend production operations at its South Africa-based Venetia mine for two years. The diamond-focused subsidiary said Monday the proposed move aims to decrease costs and rephase the capital expenditure of the project to critical infrastructure and other investments, which aim to streamline and boost the mine's operations. The company said it intends to support employees that will be affected by the production pause.
