11:46 AM EDT, 07/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bavarian Nordic (BAVA.CO) said Tuesday its partner Eurofarma filed a marketing authorization application with Brazil's Health Regulatory Agency for its chikungunya virus vaccine. The submission seeks approval for the Danish biotechnology company's CHIKV VLP, a single-dose, prefilled, adjuvanted virus-like particle recombinant protein vaccine, to prevent disease caused by the chikungunya virus in individuals aged 12 years and older. The vaccine is already approved in the US, Europe, the UK, Switzerland, and Canada under the trade name Vimkunya.
