12:06 PM EDT, 07/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK secured an agreement giving local defense companies access to contracts funded through the European Union's 78 billion-pound-sterling Ukraine Support Loan initiative. Under the scheme, UK companies will be able to bid for procurement contracts funded by the loan, which is intended to help meet Ukraine's defense and budgetary needs through 2027, the British government said Monday.
