03:58 AM EDT, 07/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Workers at BHP Group's (BHP.L, BHG.JO) iron ore mine in Port Hedland, Australia, will strike on Thursday after negotiations with the mining company failed, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a same-day union statement. The Combined BHP Ports Union also said another meeting was scheduled for July 21. Port operations and maintenance workers called for the eight-hour work stoppage on July 8 following unsuccessful negotiations on the terms of a new four-year labor agreement, according to a previous report from Reuters. BHP did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
