04:21 AM EDT, 07/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fitch Ratings on Monday maintained Stora Enso's (STEAV.HE, STERV.HE) long-term issuer default rating at BBB-, with a stable outlook. The affirmation is based on the credit rating agency's expectation that the Finnish paper and packaging company will deleverage and reduce its gross debt by 1.3 billion euros by the end of 2027, supported by its cost-optimization measures and improvements in capital structure. Meanwhile, the stable outlook reflects Stora Enso's solid business profile and geographical diversification across packaging, building materials, and forestry assets.
