08:02 AM EDT, 07/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Amsterdam District Court blocked mining giant Glencore's (GLEN.L, GLN.JO) attempt to reclaim its former logistics unit Access World Group by privately transferring the latter's shares to a subsidiary, Reuters reported Tuesday. In its ruling, released during the week of July 6, the court barred Glencore from transferring Access World shares to Tironimus, citing the risk of a conflict of interest. The court said Glencore should sell the shares in a public auction, where Tironimus and other bidders could compete. Glencore declined to comment when reached by MT Newswires. The company is trying to take back Access World after its buyer, Global Capital Merchants, failed to make a repayment on a loan provided by Glencore to help finance the 2022 acquisition.
