12:46 AM EDT, 07/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RBC Capital Markets forecasts Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F) will provide an updated medium-term guidance at the 2026 Farnborough airshow on July 20. "We are less optimistic about new product announcements (maybe the stretched A220) and believe Airbus will use the airshow to provide updated mid-term financial targets for its Airbus commercial business. The traditional airshow trade (buying [original equipment manufacturers] into the airshow and then preferring suppliers coming out of the airshow) appears to be in play again this year, at least with Airbus," the research firm said Tuesday in the event-focused preview note. Analysts expect the European aerospace company to use the airshow to introduce full-year 2028 adjusted EBIT guidance of 10 billion euros to 10.5 billion euros. Additionally, RBC projects a 2028 delivery target range of 1,000 to 1,050 aircraft, with Airbus anticipated to "strike a positive tone" on its 2026 execution, even as the company is not expected to raise its delivery outlook for the year. "We believe investors will be disappointed if Airbus guides to under 1,000 2028 deliveries, or adj. EBIT under EUR10B, or if the company refrains from providing a consolidated mid-term view (after holding back last year due to tariff uncertainty)," the note said. RBC rates the stock at outperform, with a price target of 200 euros.
