KUALA LUMPUR: PMW International Bhd has celebrated the groundbreaking  of a RM43.76mil spun pile manufacturing facility, located on 12 acres of industrial land in Kawasan Perindustrian Bemban, Perak.

The group said the facility will have an estimated production capacity of 40,000 tonnes of spun concrete piles per month, which will more than double the group's current capacity.

The development of the facility is being funded with a mix of internally-generated funds and bank borrowings.

PMW announced RM54.5mil in financing facilities from Maybank islamic, earmarked for the construction costs of the Bemban Facility as well as to support the group’s broader operational requirements.

Meanwhile, the group said its wholly-owned subsidiary PMW Winabumi Sdn Bhd had awarded ECJ Construction Sdn Bhd with the contruction of the production area and ancillary buildings worth RM14.2mil.

Construction of the facility is scheduled to commence on July 15, 2026, with targeted completion in the first quarter of 2027, while commercial operations are expected to commence in the third quarter of 2027.

"The Bemban Facility will more than double our production capacity and operational flexibility, enabling us to better support customers across the transportation, utilities, telecommunications and industrial sectors," said PMW executive director and CEO Lee Hon Hwa in a statement.
