02:33 AM EDT, 07/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Airtel Africa (AAF.L) is reportedly looking to add more investment banks to the Citi-led syndicate for the planned initial public offering of its mobile money business, Airtel Money, in London. London's Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources, that the telecommunications group is in talks with additional banks for the potential listing, which could value the business at $10 billion. The money business unit's IPO is expected to be launched as early as the second half of 2026 and can potentially generate proceeds of $1.5 billion, the report said. Airtel Africa and Citi did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
