04:38 AM EDT, 07/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AF Gruppen (AFG.OL) unit AF Offshore Decom and Heerema Marine Contractors secured an engineering, preparation, removal, and disposal contract for a North Sea platform on the UK Continental Shelf. The works include the removal of the offshore platform's topside facilities, which weigh 38,500 tonnes, according to a Wednesday release. The Norwegian contracting and industrial group and the marine contractor will begin the offshore platform surveys immediately and complete engineering and offshore preparatory works within the next six years.
