In June, the delivery volume of 436 million tons of goods was completed, which was basically the same as the previous year. Looking at the transportation situation by category, in the first half of the year, railways across the country delivered a total of 1,392 million tons of coal, 541 million tons of containers, and 28.47 million tons of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, up 4.1%, 7.8%, and 14.3%, respectively. Transportation of key materials was smooth and orderly.

National railway passenger traffic reached a record high in the first half of 2026, and cargo delivery continued to grow
In the first half of 2026, railway passenger flow across the country was operating at a high level. Passenger traffic reached a record high during the same period, cargo transportation was smooth and orderly, and railway planning and construction progressed efficiently, providing strong support for enhancing the endogenous momentum of economic and social development.
In terms of passenger transportation. In the first half of the year, railways across the country delivered a total of 2,348 billion passengers, an increase of 5.0% over the previous year; completed passenger turnover of 826.682 billion people kilometers, an increase of 3.4% over the previous year. In June, 379 million passengers were sent, an increase of 1.6% over the previous year.

On the freight side.
