The Pikeville, Kentucky-based bank said it had earnings of $1.64 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.52 per share.

The bank holding company for Community Trust Bank posted revenue of $108.8 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $78.5 million, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $76.3 million.
