05:10 AM EDT, 07/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AEW UK REIT (AEWU.L) said Thursday its board is mulling a possible all-share acquisition offer for its peer Alternative Income REIT (AIRE.L). Under the proposal, Alternative Income REIT shareholders would receive 0.725 AEW UK REIT shares for each share they own. The real estate investment trust said the possible offer will be subject to shareholder approval. In April, the merger talks between the two REITs were dropped as certain key information was not available, with AEW UK REIT adding that it was unable to obtain the views of Alternative Income REIT's major shareholder.
