Wärtsilä Receives Auxiliary Engine Orders for Two Midsize Vessels

06:08 AM EDT, 07/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Wärtsilä (WRT1V.HE) received an order to supply its Wärtsilä 25 Ammonia auxiliary engine for two new midsize liquefied petroleum gas/liquid ammonia carrier vessels. The engines will be accompanied by NOx reducer and gas valve units, according to a Thursday release. The marine power, propulsion and lifecycle technology company said the ships are being built at the Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering shipyard in Shanghai, China. Navigator Amon Shipping, a joint venture between Navigator Gas and Norway-based Amon Maritime, will own the vessels. The order deliveries are expected to start in June 2027.
