11:20 AM EDT, 07/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Swedbank (SWED-A.ST) will pay $50 million as part of its settlement with the New York State Department of Financial Services for failure to disclose information in 2016 and 2018. The Swedish lender said Thursday that with the settlement, investigations into the bank's "historical shortcomings" are now concluded. The investigations started in 2019 in Sweden, Estonia and the US, and concerned the lender's anti-money laundering and counterterrorism financing controls and its disclosure of information from 2007 to 2019.
