Aker Plans Share Buyback for Aker BioMarine Merger Settlement

03:43 AM EDT, 07/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aker (AKER.OL) said Friday it intends to launch a buyback of 1,383,892 shares to settle the consideration for the merger between its indirect subsidiary Aker Capital NewCo and Aker BioMarine. The shares will be repurchased at prices ranging from 10 Norwegian kroner to 2,000 kroner each through Dec. 31. Arctic Securities will conduct the transactions on Aker's behalf. The Norway-based industrial investment company will use the repurchased shares either as direct consideration in the merger or to settle a share loan from TRG Holding.
