04:40 AM EDT, 07/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's current account surplus dropped to 594 million euros in May from a revised surplus of 2.55 billion euros in the prior month. In the 12 months to May, the Italian current account surplus totaled 31.2 billion euros, against 18.4 billion euros in the previous year, according to data from the Bank of Italy published Friday.
