10:06 AM EDT, 07/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aker BP (AKRBP.OL) signed a firm contract to extend its use of engineering services company Odfjell Drilling's (ODL.OL) semi-submersible rig Deepsea Nordkapp by one year. The operating rate for Odfjell Drilling's rig under the extension will be determined by the end of 2026, according to a Friday release. The oil and gas company also retains further contract options. With the extension, Deepsea Nordkapp's contract backlog now runs to the end of 2028.
