04:59 AM EDT, 07/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Emmerson (EML.L) said Monday that an arbitration tribunal rejected Morocco's request to have its jurisdictional objections considered separately from the merits of the London-listed miner's claims against the country. The tribunal will instead assess both issues together, with the timetable for the next stages and the hearing yet to be determined. The potash development company's direct and indirect subsidiaries are seeking $1.22 billion in compensation, including interest and net of local taxes, over Morocco's alleged breaches of obligations under an investment treaty with the UK related to the Khemisset potash project.
