Novartis Logs Lower H1 Net Income; Net Sales Rise

01:23 AM EDT, 07/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Novartis (NOVN.SW) said Tuesday its attributable net income for the first half decreased, while net sales increased year over year. Net income attributable to shareholders for the six months ended June 30 was $6.42 billion, compared with $7.65 billion earlier. EPS moved to $3.35 from $3.88. The innovative medicines company's net sales to third parties were $27.52 billion, compared with $27.29 billion a year ago. Looking ahead, the company affirmed expectations for low-single-digit growth in net sales for full-year 2026, with a low-single-digit decline in core operating income. Novartis Chief Executive Officer Vas Narasimhan said the company is also still on track to reach its mid-term outlook.
