01:30 AM EDT, 07/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italian legal publishing company Simone (SMN.MI) agreed to acquire Societa Editrice del Periodico Il Foro Italiano, which runs a jurisprudence journal, for 1.9 million euros. The editorial acquisition is meant to strengthen Simone's proprietary content as it seeks to develop digital databases and legal artificial intelligence applications, according to a Monday release. The acquisition will be carried out by Simone's subsidiary Libri e Professioni. Simone added that it has served as the distributor for Foro Italiano's paper and digital products since May 2025.
