07:02 AM EDT, 07/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency approved Chiesi Farmaceutici's Clenil Modulite inhalers updated with a next-generation propellant for the maintenance treatment of asthma. The health regulator said Tuesday that the Italian biopharmaceuticals group's inhalers are the world's first pressurized metered-dose inhalers authorized to use HFA-152a, a propellant designed to support environmental sustainability while maintaining efficacy and safety. The updated versions in 100 micrograms and 200 micrograms will be available in the UK later in 2026.
