11:52 AM EDT, 07/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- JD Sports Fashion (JD.L) appointed Darren Shapland as its interim board chair, effective immediately, according to a Tuesday release. Shapland took over from Andrew Higginson and will serve in the role until the sports retailer names a permanent successor. Higginson stepped down Tuesday after announcing his intention to step down as board chair in April.
