BasicBlock, a freight factoring company serving owner-operators and small fleets, has completed a purchase of TrueNorth, a free loadboard and AI dispatch platform for carriers.

“We started TrueNorth in 2019 to bring more profits to truckers. BasicBlock has always been aligned with that philosophy, and I'm excited to continue our mission of making every trucker prosperous and independent. Together, we'll get there faster than either of us could alone.”
- Jin Stedge, Co-Founder and CEO at TrueNorth

“When I first met Jin, I immediately thought there had to be a way for us to work together someday. So when the opportunity to acquire TrueNorth presented itself, we jumped at it. For years, we’ve been intentional about staying focused on factoring. But as the market has changed, one thing has become increasingly clear: carriers need more than financing. They need trusted partners who can help them find the right loads and make better business decisions.

That’s exactly what TrueNorth does. We’re excited to bring Jin and the team into the BasicBlock family and continue building solutions that help carriers succeed both on and off the road.”
- Taylor Monks, Co-Founder and CEO at BasicBlock
