11:19 PM EDT, 07/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Iberdrola (IBE.MC) agreed to purchase an 80% stake in Finnish electricity distribution system operator Caruna for 2 billion euros. The deal values Caruna at 5 billion euros, including its financial debt, according to a Tuesday release. Nordic pension funds AMF and Elo will retain a 20% stake in the company. The Spanish electric utility company expects to close the deal in the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
