05:43 AM EDT, 07/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ceiba Investments (CBA.L) said Tuesday it expects "minimal" additional negative impact on its 2026 earnings from Meliá Hotels International's (MEL.MC) termination of its hotel management and commercialization services in Cuba. The London-listed investment company has an interest in five Melia-operated Cuban hotels through two joint ventures, according to a Wednesday release. It noted that the hotels' occupancy levels have already dropped sharply in recent months. Ceiba said the hotels will be renamed Hotel Habana, Hotel Las Americas, Hotel Varadero, Hotel Palmeras and Hotel Trinidad Peninsula, as the termination also disallows the use of Melia brands, effective from Friday.
