08:42 AM EDT, 07/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Mwb Research raised its earnings estimates and price target for Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F) after the European aircraft manufacturer set a formal adjusted EBIT target for 2029 that topped expectations. "The EUR 12bn to EUR 13bn adj. EBIT target for 2029 Airbus set is broadly in line with consensus but above our previous assumptions, prompting us to raise our estimates," mwb said in a Wednesday note as it raised its forecasts for the company's sales, EBIT and EPS for 2026 through 2028. Airbus set the 2029 target on Tuesday alongside a reiteration of its full-year 2026 guidance of 870 commercial aircraft deliveries which, in mwb's view, offers no material change to the company's near-term operational outlook. The research firm raised its price target to 225 euros from 215 euros and maintained its buy rating to reinforce its "bullish medium-term view" on the planemaker. "COMAC (Chinese competitor) remains the main long-term risk to our investment case. However, its international market entry and EASA certification continue to be delayed, while we still see no evidence of a meaningful acceleration in production output," the note said.
