08:58 AM EDT, 07/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lockheed Martin's (LOM.F) British arm secured a 20 million-pound-sterling contract for Project Bowline, the UK's hypersonic target program supporting the development and testing of missile defense systems against advanced threats. Under the contract from the UK Ministry of Defence's National Armaments Director Group, Lockheed Martin UK will design, manufacture, qualify and test a hypersonic target, a vehicle built to represent high-speed threats, according to a Wednesday notice. A live flight demonstration is planned for 2027.
