Oklo Inc. (NYSE:OKLO) shares are trading higher Wednesday following a report that the company is joining a government program aimed at accelerating power plant development for AI data centers.

Oklo Joins Federal Effort to Speed Up Nuclear Power for AI

According to Bloomberg, citing a document reviewed by the outlet, Oklo will join Microsoft, Nvidia in a Trump administration-led effort to speed up construction of new power plants for AI data centers. The reported $200 million program is designed to address mounting concern that the data center buildout fueling the AI boom has pushed up electricity prices nationwide.

Bloomberg reported that details of the $200 million effort may be announced Wednesday at an AI energy summit convened by the U.S. Department of Energy.
