10:44 AM EDT, 07/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham unveiled a 20% cut in business rates bills for pubs, social clubs and live music venues across England, effective April 2027. Burnham said Thursday the cut would save the typical pub an estimated 1,100 pounds sterling next year. The support package costs 100 million pounds annually.
