03:57 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Siemens (SIE.F) and HD Hyundai agreed to expand their partnership through a low-triple-digit million-dollar deal aimed at developing artificial intelligence-powered digital shipyards. Under the agreement, HD Hyundai will integrate the German technology group's Xcelerator industrial software and automation portfolio to connect ship engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and shipyard operations, according to a Friday release. The partners will also support the establishment of a US-Korea Shipbuilding Technology Cooperation Center in Washington, DC, US, focused on shipyard modernization, workforce development, and maritime competitiveness.
