Flash PMI: Eurozone Private Sector Activity Expands in July

04:12 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The euro area's private sector activity expanded for the first time in four months in July, with both the manufacturing and services sectors seeing growth amid a renewed increase in new orders. The seasonally adjusted S&P Global Flash Eurozone Composite PMI Output Index hit a five-month high of 51.9, higher than the previous 50 and expected 50.3, flash data S&P Global showed Friday. Meanwhile, the services PMI reached a five-month high of 51.6, compared with the earlier reading of 49.4 and the market forecast of 49.8. On the manufacturing side, the PMI stood at a three-month high of 52, against the prior month's 51.4 and consensus estimate of 51.5.
