Zhitong Finance App News, Huahai Pharmaceutical (600521.SH) issued an announcement. Recently, the company's subsidiaries Shanghai Huaotai Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“Huaotai”) and Huabo Biomedical Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huaotai) received the “Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice” approved and issued by the State Drug Administration to add subcutaneous injection routes to the injectable HB0043 project.

According to reports, HB0043 is the world's first dual-antibody drug. It also targets interleukin-17A (IL-17A) and interleukin-36 receptors (IL-36R). It has high binding and blocking activity. It has been developed to treat various autoimmune diseases that are difficult to treat, and is expected to break through the limitations of existing single-target therapy. Currently, IL-17A inhibitors (scuciumab), IL-17A/F dual inhibitors (bimegilizumab), and anti-IL-36R monoclonal antibodies (pezolizumab) have achieved positive curative effects in multiple indications, but their single-dimensional intervention against inflammation is still insufficient in some patients. HB0043 innovatively combines IL-17A and IL-36R dual targets, and is expected to be widely used in various immune-mediated diseases associated with Th17/IL-36, showing first-of-its-kind (FIC) advantages with leading mechanisms and broad potential.
