Researchers from Stanford University in the US and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology have jointly developed a soft robot technology that enables users to wear protective clothing automatically within seconds without hands-on action. According to reports, the technology can bring new solutions to emergency responders, semiconductor workshop workers, and people with reduced mobility. The entire design is inspired by ivy climbing plants, and the inflatable, flexible “vine” structure is embedded directly into the fabric.
