Irish Continental Group Directors Agree on Terms of EUR1.2 Billion Takeover Offer from Senior Management

11:36 PM EDT, 07/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Irish Continental Group's (ICGC.L, IR5B.IR) independent directors agreed on the terms of the senior management's proposed 1.2 billion-euro takeover offer for the company. The group's senior management, which collectively owns 23.7% of the Irish maritime group's total shares, is offering 8 euros in cash per share through Bluefin Bidco, according to a July 24 filing. Independent directors of the company deemed the financial terms of the proposal fair and reasonable and are planning to unanimously recommend the acceptance of the offer. The transaction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter, subject to the approval of shareholders and relevant regulators.
