Intelligent driving solution provider Fretech took the lead in mass production of the industry's first 8T8R edge architecture 4D imaging millimeter-wave radar. The mass production of the 8T8R edge-architecture 4D millimeter-wave radar FVR60 is a product of deep collaboration between Freitec and automotive semiconductor company Infineon. Based on Infineon's new 8T8R edge architecture, Freitec increases processing speed and radio frequency performance by 30% through an innovatively designed sparse and uneven large-aperture waveguide antenna array, achieving an industry-leading excellent angular resolution of 0.9° and elevation of 1.2°. At the same time, FVR60 is deeply integrated with AI algorithms, which can not only output high-density original point clouds, but also complete accurate target classification of vehicles and pedestrians in real time locally, providing more direct and semantic sensing information input to decision planning systems.
