05:21 AM EDT, 07/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- IP Group (IPO.L) is no longer in an offer period after Railways Pension Trustee Co., or Railpen, said Monday that it does not intend to make an offer for the intellectual property commercialization company. IP Group's board in a same-day filing said it is disappointed that the parties failed to reach a mutually acceptable deal, and that it continues to believe in the company's strategy and potential to unlock substantial value from its portfolio. IP Group rejected Railpen's total initial takeover offer of 0.697 pound sterling per share in June, and subsequently turned down a revised proposal of 0.713 pound per share on July 20, saying the offer significantly undervalues the company.
