StanChart Logs Higher H1 Profit, Operating Income

12:32 AM EDT, 07/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Standard Chartered (STAN.L) said Wednesday that its profit and operating income for the first half rose year over year. Profit attributable to parent company shareholders for the six months ended June 30 was $3.65 billion, compared with $3.31 billion a year ago. EPS moved to $1.473 from $1.255. The bank's operating income was $11.60 billion, compared with $10.91 billion earlier. Meanwhile, the board recommended a dividend of $0.204 per share for the period, payable Sept. 29 to shareholders on record Aug. 7. It paid $0.123 per share a year ago. For 2026, the bank revised its outlook for operating income growth and now expects it to be around the middle of the 5% to 7% range at constant currency and excluding material notable items.
