BASF Plans Net Debt Reduction in FY26

12:58 AM EDT, 07/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BASF (BAS.F) on Wednesday proposed to "significantly" cut net debt to bolster its balance sheet. The German chemicals company will redeem bonds and loans with a nominal volume of 1.6 billion euros in the third quarter, ahead of their due date. Additionally, the maturities of outstanding bonds will support deleveraging in 2026.
