Glencore Revises Steelmaking Coal, Energy Coal Output Guidance for FY26

03:05 AM EDT, 07/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Glencore (GLEN.L, GLN.JO) on Wednesday "modestly" lowered its production guidance range for steelmaking coal and slightly increased that for the output of energy coal. For 2026, the mining giant forecast steelmaking coal production of between 30 million tonnes and 32 million tonnes, compared with the previous guidance of 30 million tonnes to 34 million tonnes. The production outlook range for energy coal was revised to between 96 million tonnes and 101 million tonnes from 95 million tonnes and 100 million tonnes previously. The company reiterated its output guidance of 810,000 tonnes to 870,000 tonnes for copper, 700,000 tonnes to 740,000 tonnes for zinc, and 70,000 tonnes to 80,000 tonnes for nickel.
