United Microelectronics (NYSE:UMC) reported quarterly earnings of $0.54 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $0.15 by 260 percent. The company reported quarterly sales of $2.176 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.060 billion by 5.63 percent. This is a 8.26 percent increase over sales of $2.010 billion the same period last year.
