05:57 AM EDT, 07/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Intervacc (IVACC.ST) received approval to import its Strangvac vaccine for strangles disease in horses into New Zealand. The approval was granted under a special circumstances permit following a request from the New Zealand Equine Health Association after several outbreaks of the equine disease, according to a Wednesday release. The approval was granted within a week despite the vaccine not being authorized for sale in the country, the company noted. The animal health company will supply 1,200 vials and intends to seek formal regulatory approval to launch the vaccine in New Zealand.
